Leon Stavrinakis welcomes Suzanne Piper to the race. Charleston County Council Chairman, and candidate for S.C. House District 119, Leon Stavrinakis, called and congratulated Suzanne Piper for her
victory in the republican primary.
“Congratulations and welcome to the
race,” the Chairman added, “I am looking forward to this campaign and I am
excited about finally having an opponent!”
After the phone call the Chairman
commented that he is energized with the opportunity to talk about his record
of leadership here in Charleston County and his plans for the future of
Charleston and the state of South Carolina.
"The people
of 119, who work here and pray here everyday, deserve a representative with
proven leadership in this community. My track record has spoken for itself in
the past, whether it has been through never raising taxes since taking office
eight years ago, or writing and passing the toughest comprehensive and zoning
plan in the entire state of South Carolina for Charleston County.”
“My campaign will be about my
responsible leadership and my ideas for the future.
To reach our goals, we need leaders who are
effective and have the right experience to get the job done. The job is
clear: we must improve the education across our state and improve our schools in
this community; we must have a responsible tax reform that coincides with the
working men, women and the families who live in our community; and we must
protect our natural resources from the constant sprawling growth seen by our
community.”
“These are important issues that are facing
South Carolina and I look forward to campaigning for a statewide reform in
education, taxes, and the control of sprawl – all the while, putting an end to
this bickering and relentless partisanship that infects Columbia while the State
of South Carolina suffers.”
